Question.

What should the ideal gap between the diffuser wedges and the compressor wheel be?

 

This is my first attempt at building a diffuser. I did it completely by hand. It has some mistakes since I don't have the necessary tools and cast the aluminum at my backyard and it also got some bubbles of air in. I based it around the UT 160 but the wedges are shorter unfortunately.

 

If you are basing yourself on the UT160, follow the project instructions.

 

I will it is just the first attempt at making the diffuser.
