I am speechless, how can somebody just knock up a jet outboard. I have watched the Russian full size version and been well impressed. Having developed my own outboard ,prop type I know it took months of work with loads of failures as Michiel will agree. We need to see drawings and lots more info, this is exciting.
Bit of digging and I found this, it's got some power, looks like the water is picked up from the rear . There is a shield to protect the leg.
Asked Sundogz how far he was with his waterjet-outboard... But that project is parked for other waterjet related projects. So this is the only waterjet outboard in RC I know of. Well done! The concept is perfect, since bevel-gears always consume power due to the relatively high amount of friction. Than again, true scale outboards from Yamaha and Mercury are 15% less efficient than the version with a propeller and bevel-gears. Those use a centrifugal pump as well to avoid the bevel-gears. The Russian development was a true axial waterjet-outboard with bevel-gears! Wonder how that will work: The inventor of waterjet propulsion, Hamilton from New Zealand started with centrifugal pumps, but abandoned those early for axial impeller pumps.
