I am wondering about your flex shaft Alex. Has the lower kv setup helped?

    No Dim.
the new flexshafts from stumbfac USA are terrible.
Very hard so not the same as the K&B ones.
After three runs it was broken allready.
Made an brass liner tube now,so hopefully that wil help.
Below some pictures of the broken shaft,it seems to be getting really hot and then broke.
Wil make an oiler cup maybe on top of the outboard.
But don't want to spil oil into the lake also.

Brass tube may help indeed. The oiler is also a good idea that I was also thinking about!
Any eco friendly oil available out there?
And an irrelevant question about Tamiya rc: Are they reliable in terms of their plastics? I want a CC-01 Toyota Hilux for a very long time and I always hesitate due to high replacement cost of broken parts!

Reliable for sure ,and parts are not expensive for a CC 01.
Only thing is you must get a ballbearing set for the Tamiya , normally not included.
    Included are nylon bearings.
And they are pretty poor ,and were out instantly.
